Today we face challenging times and many lives have been turned upside down. Since 2004, Shepherd’s Pantry has provided food, clothing, counseling and resources to families and individuals struggling to make ends meet. We could not meet our mission without the support of our volunteers and donors. Hundreds of volunteer hours and thousands of dollars are needed monthly to help your neighbors, your friends, your co-workers, and your community, and we are blessed and forever grateful for the generosity of our supporters.
Shepherd’s Pantry is launching a major fundraising campaign, “Nourish the Body, Feed the Soul.” The campaign will run from July 1 through July 31. Donors will be recognized on our website and in social media in September as part of Hunger Action Month. Due to the COVID-19 virus pandemic, we have cancelled the 2020 Gala that was planned for later this year. We hope that this fundraising campaign will serve to unite our community of supporters, especially in this uncertain and perilous time for so many.
Shepherd’s Pantry, with facilities in Glendora, Irwindale, and Baldwin Park, serves well over 1,000 households every month. Our clients include families struggling to put food on the table, senior citizens on fixed incomes, and individuals who have suffered job loss, illness or severely reduced income. In light of the COVID-19 crisis, the situation is even more dire, and we are helping more clients than ever before.
If you would like to make a lasting impact and support your neighbors, please make a donation today. Every dollar makes a difference. You can make a one-time gift or make an on-going monthly pledge through our website. If you are not already a member, we invite you to consider joining our Club 365 for an annual commitment of $365 – one dollar per day. Contributions can be made by sending a check to the address on this letter or paying online at https://www.shepherdspantry.com/financial-donations/.
Please stand with us during our “Nourish the Body, Feed the Soul” campaign and help us to provide nutritious food and other resources to those in our community who need hope and a helping hand. We thank you for your friendship and support of Shepherd’s Pantry – we can’t do our important work without you. May God bless you and your families.
