With the rainy weather now setting in, what better way to enjoy your night with a nice warm bowl of soup and helping charities? That is right, helping your community is as easy as buying dinner. The first Christian Church of Glendora is holding their annual “Empty Bowl: Fighting Hunger One Bowl at a Time”. This event is to raise money for food assistance programs for Shepherd’s Pantry, St. Vincent de Paul Society and the Glendora Police Department. For $20 dollars, you received a delectable bowl of soup made by local restaurants, with many choices to choose from. With this dinner, you also get to take your bowl home! Each bowl has been handcrafted by the The Citrus College Ceramics department, the Tri Community Adult Education’s “Pioneer Potters”, and several local ceramic artists. So March 14, 2024, get an amazing dinner, a beautiful bowl and support Shepherd’s Pantry by attending the Empty Bowls event from 5pm-7pm.
