National Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich Day

April 2, 2025

It’s a Classic American lunch that has fed us for generations. National Peanut Butter and Jelly Day reminds us that the simplest foods are sometimes the best. To celebrate this day, we ask you to share this post with friends and family to encourage them to buy an extra loaf of bread, jar of peanut butter, or jelly and donate it to Shepherd’s Pantry. Or click on our Amazon wishlist here!

Earth Day

April 22, 2025

It is easy to take our blue and green world for granted as we run around living our lives. But we still must remember to take care of it! Shepherd’s Pantry’s Earth Day campaign this year is simple: give single-use items another life! For April, consider donating items you would throw away, like clean and empty egg cartons, trash bags, reusable water bottles, plastic bags, cups, utensils, and extra napkins! Donations are being accepted at the Glendora and Irwindale through April 25! For any questions, email slwe@shepherdspantry.com.

Letter Carriers’ Food Drive

May12, 2025

It is time for the USPS annual Letter Carriers’ Food Drive! Every year, the post office collects food to donate to local food pantries, and this year, the Covina and Glendora Offices are donating to Shepherd’s Pantry. If you are interested in participating or even volunteering, contact ddurkin@sheperdspantry.com.

Hope And A Helping Hand

One of our main goals is to reduce homelessness by helping families remain in their homes by providing food/clothing so they can use their limited financial resources for rent, utilities, etc.

Our Locations and Services

Shepherd’s Pantry has three locations located in the Los Angles County Area, which all provided food. Other resources like clothing, haircuts, prayer, case management, and more vary per site.
