Shepherd's Pantry accepted as a client of Dovetail Ministries in Montebello, CA. Dovetail is a food bank that provides non-perishable food and supplies to food pantries and other organizations around the world.
Effective January 1, 2007, Shepherd's Pantry has expanded its facility from 1,200 to 1,800 square feet. Work is in process to reorganize the facility to make it even more efficient.
In February 2007, Shpeherd's Pantry became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation
On April 15, 2007, we celebrated our 1st anniversary at the Glendora walk-in facility
Many thanks to the 1st Baptist Church in Glendora, CA, for asking us to particate with them in the 2007 U.S. Postal Stamp Out Hunger program. We helped receive the food as it was dropped of at 1st Baptist by the Glendora Postal Letter Carriers. In exchange for our help, we received a large portion of the food that was collected.
2007 Glendora Holiday Basket Program held Thursday November 15, 2007 at Shepherd's Pantry. Approximately 200 families from Glendora received food, children's books & numerous gift vouchers.
Pantry receives $1,000 'Food Grant' from Presbytery USA.
Shepherd's Pantry will have a booth at the Christ Church of the Valley (CCV) campus Saturday & Sunday December 1st & 2nd during their "A Lasting Christmas" event weekend.
On Saturday February 23, 2008, Shepherd's Pantry received the 'Oscar' award for Outstanding Community Service plus $200 donation from Glendora Rotary Club at their annual awards banquet at the Glendora Country Club
On March 7, 2008 Pantry received $1,000 donation from Glendora Wal-Mart Store
On Friday March 14, 2008, Pantry received $1,000 donation from 1st Christian Church in Glendora at their Empty Bowls fund raiser
April 14, 2008, Pantry received 'Humanitarian Award' from Glendora Community Coordinating Council (GCCC) at their monthly luncheon

Glendora Community Development Block Grant Program awards Shepherd's Pantry with $5,000 donation
Ludwick Family Foundation, Glendora, CA, awards Shepherd's Pantry a grant to purchase used commercial truck for handling food and other large donated items. Many thanks to the Ludwick Family Foundation for this wonderful grant.
Wal-Mart in Glendora donates several new bicycles to the Pantry. Each bike needs minor repair work that will be handled by Pantry volunteers. Many thanks to Wal-Mart. Each bike will be donated to Pantry clients and other organizations. We anticipate this will become an on-going program at the Pantry.
Effective July 1, 2008, Pantry leased an additional 600 square foot unit at current location. This space will be used for the second hand clothing program which also began July 1st. Total facility square footage is now 2,400 sq. ft.
