• The week of August 8-12th we held our first children's summer camp at 
      Shepherd's Pantry. It was a great week full of reading tutoring, crafts,
      games, science demonstartions and ended with each child receiving a
      new back pack full of school supplies and snack foods. Thanks to all
      the tutors and staff who participated and to all the kids who attended.
  
• On 8-19-11 Southern California Edison delivered food and cash donations
      donated by their employees at the Irwindale, CA location.

• On 8-16-11 Grace Lutheran Church in La Verne, CA delivered a large 
       amount of donated food to Shepherd's Pantry. Their members were given
       a grocery bag and asked to return it full of food, which they did. Many
       thanks to their members for their support.
  
• We recently signed an agreement with Abundant Harvest Organic a 
       distributor of organic fruits and vegetables in Northern California. Per
       the agreement we receive a weekly shipment of product delivered to
       Glendora. It is wonderful to be able to provide fresh fruit to the people
       we serve.
  
• We are in desperate need of your food donations. Donations normally
       diminish during the summer months but this year is worse than normal.
       We are in need of all types of non-perishable food items.
